1. Data protection Vetpoint
The responsible handling of the personal data of users (hereinafter referred to as users) of Vetpoint (product of Vetpoint AG, UID CHE-113.613.508) is important to us. We therefore take data protection seriously.
This privacy policy gives you an overview of what personal data we collect about you, how we process this personal data and to whom we may pass it on. You will also find further information on how you can exercise your rights in connection with your personal data.
In order to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, we take security measures appropriate to the risks involved. These measures are continuously adapted to ensure that they correspond to the current state of the art.
By using our website and/or our order platform, you consent to the processing of your personal data and accept these data protection provisions.
The responsibility for compliance with data protection regulations with regard to the data that the user uploads and stores on the platform is not transferred to Vetpoint. The responsibility remains with the user of the platform.
If necessary, this declaration must be amended from time to time. This version corresponds to the status as of May 2024.
2. Data protection officer

3. Area of application
This Privacy Policy applies to all persons whose data we process, regardless of how you contact us. It applies both to the processing of personal data already collected and to personal data to be collected in the future.
4. Principles and purpose of the processing of personal data
Regular personal data and, under certain circumstances, particularly sensitive personal data of Vetpoint users are processed. The processing is carried out for the purpose of providing the service offered, i.e. the operation of an ordering platform for the offering of products by suppliers and the ordering of the corresponding products by veterinarians. Vetpoint also processes personal data for the purpose of ensuring an ideal connection with TVS (Tierärztliche Verrechnungsstelle GST AG) and VETdata (data platform for the exchange and storage of digital company data). The processing of personal data is also necessary to respond to contact requests, for marketing purposes, for any security measures, to tailor the website to the needs of users, for statistical purposes, to process applications and in dealings with organizations and authorities. Regular personal data and particularly sensitive personal data of employees are also processed. Only data that is necessary for the purpose of processing is processed. The data is stored for as long as it is required for the purpose for which it was collected. Data may also be passed on to third parties as part of contractual relationships with subcontractors. However, no data is transferred abroad within the scope of contractual relationships. However, the transfer of data abroad is not excluded in principle.
The responsibility for compliance with data protection regulations with regard to the personal data that veterinarians may disclose to their customers on the ordering platform (e.g. delivery address) is not transferred to Vetpoint. The product suppliers and veterinarians themselves are responsible for complying with data protection regulations with regard to the data they process via the ordering platform. Vetpoint merely provides the technical means to enable the operation of the platform.

You can object to this processing of your e-mail address at any time in the respective newsletter itself by unsubscribing via the link at the end of the newsletter or in relation to advertising e-mails via the e-mail address listed in Section 10.
