As of 1.1.2025, the VAT legislation was amended and a regulation regarding platform taxation was introduced. This new regulation affects all electronic platforms in Switzerland that “enable” the sale of goods.
However, clarifications with the Swiss Federal Tax Administration have shown that the Vetpoint ordering platform is not subject to the platform taxation rules under the current VAT Act.
Therefore, there are no changes with regard to the VAT treatment of orders via Vetpoint.
